Archives: Events

On July 2 and 3, TrueLogic family took the party to the picturesque Crystal Beach Resort in Zambales to celebrate the company event: #SweatEatOut2016.

As in the tradition of annual company outings, the event was filled with great food, tough yet diverting challenges, and hard partying — all in the name of fun, team spirit, and bonding.

TEAM TLOS ARRIVES

The team received a warm welcome with fresh coconut juice from the Crystal Beach Resort staff. Our General Manager, Bernard, delivered the opening remarks marking the start of a memorable weekend.

“There are 120 other awesome people in TrueLogic, apart from the two of us (referring to himself and our CEO, Itamar),” he reminded everyone. “Use this event to talk to them and get to know them.”

And get to know each other, we did. We were grouped into smaller teams, with members from different departments for the afternoon games. The groups were named according to colors: Yellow, Blue, Orange, and Green.

We had a blast breaking the ice and sharing trivias with one another. Each team then proceeded to create group names and battle cries and come up with our own winning strategies. Team Yellow is Team ImpactGanern; Blue is Blue Steel; Green is Wild Cats; and Orange is Scaaaarf.

And the games begun!

COMPETING TEAMS

 One Colorful Fight

The first game for the afternoon was the Color Fight, where the groups were given colored powder and water balloons to attack the rival teams. The group which has the cleanest member at the end of the game wins.

Everyone was pumped up, throwing water balloons and colored powder, while trying to protect their teammates from the bright, but messy attacks. The game ended with everyone sporting a new look: powder-dyed shirts, ombré hair, and colorful faces!

CAPTURE THE (WET) FLAG

After a short break, the four teams geared up for the second game, Capture the Flag. Blue and Yellow bandanas clashed in the field during the first round as members charged and scampered off to protect their territory and capture the opponent’s flag. The idle teams cheered on the sidelines as they anxiously waited for their turn to play.

A heavy downpour greeted the second round, but that did not stop the Orange and Green teams from finishing the match. After two intense rounds, the Green team was declared the winner.

EATING OUR HEARTS OUT

Before and after the exciting games, we enjoyed scrumptious and hearty meals at the resort. We went around the tables to bond with people from other departments. For dinner, the cozy Casa Corazon was filled with laughter and great music!

Dinner was even made extra special when some of our team members took the stage and performed well-loved hits.

PARTYING ON THE BEACH

After dinner, the TLOS family headed to the beachfront to dance the night away. Drinks flowed freely and people waved their glow sticks and LED rings to DJ Arthur’s catchy EDM tracks.

Eden, the company’s unofficial bartender, concocted wicked drinks that had everyone asking for more! It truly was an unforgettable experience. It was a delight to see office introverts finally free up their shyness and sway to the beat. Priceless.

EARLY MORNING FUN

Despite the hangover, some of us woke up early to enjoy the morning sun, walk along the shore, take selfies, swim or just bond some more with colleagues, while some boys sweat it out on the basketball court.

Not a minute wasted at Crystal Beach Resort. If only we could stay there forever!

It is easy for us to judge one another, they say. But after a day and a half of playing and partying together, new friendships were formed, mere acquaintances have become new BFFs, and team members have gotten closer. We even found out that the geekiest persons in the office actually know how to party! How cool is that?

With the company core values achieved (Caring, Curiosity, Communication, Techy-ness, Proactive and Energy), we left Crystal Beach with smiles on our faces and happiness in our hearts.

As we got off the bus to head home and rest, we’re already looking forward to #SweatEatOut2017! And we want you to be part of it!

Knowledge and experience go hand in hand, and this serves as the core value behind SEO Summit 2016. A setting for learning and connecting with the SEO community, this year’s meeting saw some of the industry’s gurus who shared their expertise on today’s trends and best practices.

As involvement in the SEO community and pursuit of excellence are a part of our company’s promise, TrueLogic is happy to be a participant of this year’s SEO Summit. We take this participation as a drive to manifest our expertise, as well as trade ideas with professionals in the field.

SEO Summit 2016 covers comprehensive topics to arm digital marketing professionals with actionable strategies. Touching both basic and advanced skills, SEO Summit 2016 provided the groundwork for those who are new to the industry, and those with years of experience to back them up.

The event featured keynote presenters, each with established expertise in the field: Sean Si, CEO and Founder of SEO Hacker; Grant Merriel, Co-founder of Conversion UP; Dan Petrovic, Director of Dejan SEO; Jason Acidre, CEO and Founder of Xight Interactive; Wotjek Mazur, Co-founder of Elephate.co; and our very own General Manager Bernard San Juan III.

ARMING PROFESSIONALS FOR THE CHANGES TO COME

Old-school SEO might still play a role in specific strategies, but the digital landscape does not revolve around this anymore. The digital space is ever-growing, and staying ahead of the curve provides a smooth pace for development.

SEO Summit 2016 brought together digital marketing influencers to give insights on where the industry is headed. The entire day was packed with concepts and topics that equipped SEOs and digital marketers for industry changes.

We learned how to build the best content with the strategies presented by Grant Merriel. Jason Acidre provided us with his thoughts about link building. Dan Petrovic shared his ideas on creative SEO, while our very own Bernard talked about advanced competitive site audit and digital marketing strategies. Of course, who would forget about how content optimization works with Wojtek Mazur’s keynote. Sean Si wrapped up the sessions with his presentation on maximizing conversions.

We asked Sean about what digital marketing agencies should focus on in the future, “I think if this question is taken in the local context, SEO is the up-and-coming digital marketing facet that a lot of companies should focus on. And I say that with no bias. The search market is very ripe for the picking for companies this year. And I can only see that growing all the way to 2020.”

Dan Petrovic of Dejan SEO was quick to add his thoughts on the matter, “Attribution modelling and strategic targeting. Knowing where to put your money and time is becoming increasingly important as customers grow more cautious of blind spending and gut feeling budgets. No more piñata marketing.”

MAKING A STRONG CONNECTION WITH THE COMMUNITY

We’re not one to pass up an opportunity where we can meet other specialists. SEO Summit 2016 is not just an event for sharing knowledge; it’s the perfect venue to be in touch with the people who make up the SEO community in the Philippines. This year’s summit had over a hundred participants—a segmented crowd of digital marketing professionals, agency start-ups, and delegates who also attended last year’s event.

Sean and the folks of SEO Hacker had their fair share of great moments when organizing the event. When asked what they enjoyed during the prep, “Most probably the dinner that I[Sean] had with some of the speakers. We had a wonderful time getting to know each other better over good food.”

SEO Summit 2016 brings a unified agenda for the industry: to disperse knowledge that will lead the local SEO community towards a new age of digital marketing. We can’t wait to be a part of the next SEO Summit and see how far the industry has come.

May 21 is another feat for the digital marketing community in the Philippines – PeepCon 2.0: The Philippines’ Premier Search Marketing Conference. Held at the AFP Theater in Camp Aguinaldo, Quezon City, this year’s PeepCon got bigger and bolder with the presence of SEO and digital marketing experts locally and internationally.

TrueLogic is proud to be a part of this conference. Beyond the expert insights and the networking opportunities, our core values extend to the growth of the SEO community and its members in the Philippines. We found PeepCon to be a great venue for this task.

PeepCon 2.0 is a convergence of digital marketing professionals, and this year’s attendance was met with over 200 professionals from the local community. The powerhouse panel roster of PeepCon 2.0 included Dan Petrovic of Dejan SEO, Michael King of iPullRank, Jon Cooper of Point Blank SEO, Jason Acidre of Xight Interactive, and Glen Dimaandal of GDI Online Marketing.

The folks of GDI Online Marketing did a remarkable job organizing the event. We asked founder and CEO Glen Dimaandal what was the hardest part about organizing PeepCon 2.0 and he said, “Logistics. We had our hiccups during the event unlike before. These are lessons we’ll be carrying if we ever do another event.” Nonetheless, it was a day that made another mark in the industry.

A CHANNEL FOR THE GROWTH OF THE INDUSTRY

Joining the event allowed TrueLogic to be intertwined with the industry, meeting new and familiar faces that make up a community of experts. The event is a ground for exchanging ideas for both the TrueLogic team and the delegates from different agencies whom we were glad to have interacted with.

Despite the history of SEO, only a few are able to keep up with the developments of the industry. The event gave birth to a channel that every digital marketing professional can use as a starting point for their respective fields.

Asked where he sees the Philippine SEO industry will advance in the next couple of years, Glen responds with this positive note, “There is plenty of room for new business emanating from within the country. Local businesses are growing more aware of digital marketing and its benefits. That can only mean more work for SEOs.”

MOVING FORWARD TO THE INTERNATIONAL SCENE

Glen sees the SEO community as small and tightly connected, with small and big players coming together and bringing better transfer of knowledge, and creating a better international presence.

“The international community is growing more aware of Filipino talent. Guys like Benj Arriola, Jason Acidre, and Sean Si have put us on the map. It’s up to a new generation of SEOs to rise and contribute where these industry legends have left off.”

When asked to comment on how the SEO community in the Philippines compares to other communities in the world (Australia and the US), Dan Petrovic told us, “I get an impression of a warm and close SEO community in the Philippines, which is a breath of fresh air. I’d like to see more SEO bloggers from the Philippines speaking their mind. It’s a great community to be honest and I don’t think I’d change it in any way.”

IT’S MORE THAN A LEARNING EXPERIENCE AND EXCHANGE OF KNOWLEDGE

Supporting the growth of the industry goes beyond providing actionable insights. PeepCon 2.0 is also an event that reaches out to members of the community who need assistance, and TrueLogic is proactive in providing a helping hand. This year’s PeepCon beneficiaries were the families of the late Gary Andrew Lacanilao and Carrina Canlas.

PeepCon 2.0 shows the best of the best in the digital marketing arena, and it’s an opportunity to stay connected with industry professionals rather than focus on the competition. We’re looking forward to the next PeepCon and the new ideas that will push the boundaries of digital marketing.

Sitting in front of a computer throughout the day is a common picture in the corporate world. The Truelogic family is familiar with this scene. The difference is we don’t let that kind of setting dominate us—we change the pace to make our workplace fun and conducive to the wellbeing of every employee.

Last April 29, Truelogic once again held a Health and Wellness Day in its very home at Penthouse 2, JAKA Building. Everyone enjoyed the activities and booths from our lifestyle partners, showing that work doesn’t mean forgetting about one’s wellbeing.

STARTING THE DAY RIGHT!

Our Health and Wellness Day began with our lifestyle partners setting up their booths in the hallway. Employees from all departments flocked to each booth throughout the day, breaking away from the usual routine at work.

Fitness consultants from Slimmers World provided free consultation on BMI, Waist Circumference, and BF Analysis, Figure and Skin Analysis, and free Diamond Peel. They are also offering membership sign-ups for those who are interested in getting into shape—especially now that everyone is raving about that perfect summer body.

Aching backs and stiff shoulders are the woes of every hardworking employee, but Truelogic took away those pains with free massage service from White Flower. They also had a range of therapeutic products, including ointments, balms, and electro thermal water bags, providing the perfect combo for everyday pain relief.

Employees who want to find out if they have the right posture visited NY Theraspine’s booth for a free Postural Screening. Apart from their posture analysis, their booth provided employees free samples of Rocktape, Sombra, Thera brands, Backjoy, Vigel, and other products.

Got eye problems? Vision is a sense you shouldn’t compromise, no matter what line of work you are in. During the Health and Wellness Day, Truelogic employees were graced with a free eye check-up from JCT Optical.

Of course, you can’t just be healthy—you have to look the part. Famous cosmetics brand Mary Kay made an appearance with a range of beauty products, from lipsticks to liquid foundation.

A lot of freebies rained that day as employees received product samples from different health and wellness brands, including Simply Nature Organics, India Herbs Supplements, Organique Company (Sleepasil), MacroPharma (Circulan), Pascual Consumer (C-lium Fiber) and gift certificates from Metro Dental.

WRAPPING IT UP WITH HEALTHCARE KNOWLEDGE AND FITNESS DEMOS

This month’s last town hall was extra special, wrapping up the day with positive feedback from clients and a warm greeting for April birthday celebrants. But, those are not the only things that made this town hall more fun.

Everyone was encouraged to come in their sports attire, and some went all out with their style. The Human Resources department gave away prizes for the best dressed employees of the day: Jacqui (Content), Rex, (Content), James (Content), Florian (Operations), and Kevin (Marketing).

A representative from Maxicare provided a presentation of HMO benefits, so Truelogic employees can maximize their healthcare coverage.

After the presentation, fitness experts from Urban Ashram and Slimmers World showed everyone how being healthy can be fun through a yoga demonstration and Aero-G performance.

How do you end a day of health and wellness? BY BINGING ON FOOD! Kidding aside, our company had a delicious buffet to cap off the day—but hey, there were fruits for dessert!

At Truelogic, we see employees as an asset—everyone’s wellbeing is equally important as the relationships and accomplishments they bring to our company.

Be part of the team that inspires everyone to love work, build strong connections, and live healthy. Visit our Career Page and get a glimpse of the opportunities waiting for you at our company!

From the spectacular and spooky Halloween celebration last year, TrueLogic went a different and exciting route this year by doing a Carnival themed Halloween party last October 30. The three teams – the Operations, the Content and the Admin – all prepared their own rooms to follow the theme of the fantastic Carnivalesque experience.

Come late afternoon, the hallways were decked with party treats including a popcorn stall, cotton candy and candy bar, chocolate fountain, a local sorbetero, and a face paint booth. TrueLogic employees spent a good time going around each booth having their faces painted in spectacular neon colors and eating their share of carnival sweets.

A Fun Filled Festival

The event began at around 5pm and was hosted by Cielo Alonzo and Chris De Villa. For introductions, they gathered the team around the hallway to present the judges including Itamar Gero, Bernard San Juan and Harold Tan. The judges began room tour with Admin room, the first room, which was decorated and conceptualized by the Admin team. Their room was themed, TwistedLogic Carnevil.

They allowed three teams to get a private tour of their circus. Their team were all dressed in red and black and white, while donning creepy looking white face masks. The room featured an entrance that looked like the open mouth of a clown and their brilliant escape room became the talk of the whole afternoon.

The judges toured next the Ops room, which was decorated with purple buntings and mini balloons. They featured a tarot reader and an array of popular carnival games, such as Ring Toss, Milk Bottle Toss, Beer Pong, and a whole lot more enjoyable regular circus fares. The judges enjoyed each of the games, as well as the free treats that came with each score.

It was also notable how almost everyone in the room were dressed in colorful costumes and were wearing brightly painted faces.

Finally, the judges then moved into the second room, which featured the Content Team’s neon-themed room. Unlike the brightly lit and normal carnival fare featured in the previous room, Content took an unexpected turn this year and welcomed the judges in a pitch black room lit by backlight, a form of illumination used in LCDs.

As the previous winner of the Halloween contest, Content took this year’s concept to a whole new level once more. The room was filled with booming techno music as the judges went through each challenge, arranged like a maze, around the blackened room. Only their faces painted in bright neon were seen and the judges enjoyed going through each round and each punishment, should they fail the maze.

Carnivalesque TownHall and Contest Winners

After each of the room tour, the entire TrueLogic team was herded to the third room for TownHall. The TownHall session that Friday was something else, though. After the usual congratulatory spiel on how well the whole team did that week, they announced a game everybody is about to participate in, the Dress Up Your Manager.

The teams were already previously announced, which featured Itamar Gero, Bernard San Juan, Harold Tan, Zhai Barro, MJ Navida, Joshua Pielago, Gaia Lising and Sheila Dela Peña. For this special activity, each team was given a box that contained a rice sack, colored straws, lipstick, face powder, charcoal, a pack of ketchup, tissue, and colorful cellophane.

The teams needed to use everything in the box to dress up their designated manager. They were given 20 minutes and afterwards, each of the managers were asked to walk a makeshift runway to showcase their team’s hardwork. MJ, who parodied a fashion-forward Korean Empress placed third, while Itamar, who looked like a sad clown in strings, was awarded 2nd place and Zhai, as Zhai-clops, won first prize with her innovative get-up with a pressed powder mirror for an eye to boot.

The hosts then proceeded to announce the winner in this year’s Halloween competition. The criteria for judging the best are as follows: 30% Entertainment Factor, 30% Design and Creativity, 20% Originality in Concept, 20% Group Effort. The winning team will win Php10,000, 2nd placer will take home Php7,000 and the 3rd placer will be awarded Php5,000.

The Operations team’s fun-themed carnival room won third place and the Admin team’s TwistedLogic Carnevile won second place. Finally, the consistent and undefeated Content team once again bagged this year’s top prize with their neon themed room.

After the awards have been given away, Townhall was concluded and everyone enjoyed the sumptuous buffet. As the night went on, while some members of the Truelogic family are still enjoying the healthy dinner, others went around to experience the other rooms’ amusing games and challenges.

The TrueLogic family evidently enjoyed the carnival-themed party, with all the treats and fun fare, the prizes and the games. Now, we’re all looking forward to the next TrueLogic company event, the annual year-end Christmas party – with its exciting Gliterrati theme.

Are you fabulously ready for the year-end party?

TrueLogic was once again part of BLINK’s roster of industry experts at the recently concluded seminar held at the AIM Conference Center in Makati. Our very own Itamar Gero and Bernard San Juan III were two of seven resource speakers for the two-day event that had the topic, ‘Customer Success with Digital as Everyday Touchpoint.’

GOING DIGITAL

With a focus on digital marketing, Itamar and Bernard shared the secret to why TrueLogic remains successful in engaging customers using digital platforms. Itamar’s talk, ‘Use of Algorithm for Better Targeted Ads,’ discussed the importance of knowing customer intent and using predictive models to achieve meaningful conversions.

Bernard, on the other hand, covered ‘Crafting a Smarter Email Marketing Campaign,’ which shared the steps to developing more effective email marketing strategies. “Selling to people who actually wants to hear from you is more effective than interrupting strangers who don’t,” Bernard quoted Seth Godin’s Permission Marketing.

According to Bernard, there’s a secret to successful digital marketing: creating SMART goals. That is, each goal should be specific, measurable, attainable, relevant, and time-bound.

FROM STRANGERS TO PROMOTERS

TrueLogic was also part of the event’s second day lineup, with Bernard taking the stage to discuss ‘Turning Strangers to Customers through Inbound Marketing.’ Here, he talked about finding customers in the digital world and, more importantly, effectively engaging them.

Bernard shared how inbound marketing can convert the target audience from strangers to visitors, leads, customers, and eventually promoters. He highlighted the importance of offering value first and being there when customers are ready to buy.

CHANGING WITH THE INDUSTRY

It seemed only yesterday that TrueLogic’s CEO talked at the BLINK Conference 2013 along with former Marketing Director, Clayton Wood. Back then, Itamar talked about digital marketing “becoming more intricate.” But, according to him, catching Google’s curveballs is “achievable.”

“SEO is not dead. Google just repositioned the rankings, and is changing the industry so much. If you’re not fast to adopt changes, it might be too late,” Clayton added. Two years may have passed, but Clayton’s and Itamar’s words still ring true. Google’s changes set the stage, but successful SEO companies continue to adapt.

TrueLogic’s repeat presence at the BLINK conference affirms we shape the industry and help companies head in the right direction.

TrueLogic took the word “teamwork” to a whole new level last June 27 and 28 as the company came together for this year’s summer outing event: #SweatEatOut2015. Set at the amazing Olympic Point Island Resort in Anilao, Batangas, #SweatEatOut2015 was filled with exciting challenges, competitive spirit and just pure fun. We cheerdanced, kayaked and partied our way to what is now a more tightly bonded family.

DAY 1

TEAM ITAMAR VS. TEAM BERNARD

Days before the outing, the entire company was divided into two major teams: Team Itamar and Team Bernard for the main event, which was the cheerleading competition.

First up was Team Bernard with their guerilla-inspired routine and infectious battle cry of “Who run the world? BERNS!” Team Itamar countered with their athletic formations bringing to mind of college sports fests.

Each team participated actively, displaying their jaw-dropping stunts and hidden dancing prowess, despite the limited time they had for rehearsals after work in the days leading up to the event.

Later in the day, commercial model and master of ceremonies for #SweatEatOut2015, Wil Dasovich, announced the winner: Team Bernard!

Although both teams won bags of goodies, Team Bernard took away a shiny new trophy, not to mention a lot of bragging rights.

AMAZING RACE

Following the cheerdancing competition, TrueLogic employees were surprised yet again as we were broken down into even smaller teams: Blue Team, Yellow Team, Red Team, and Green Team for the Amazing Race challenge. Each team had to accomplish these five tough challenges in the least possible amount of time:

1. T & L Puzzle

2. Spider Web

3. Plank Walk

4. Kayak

5. Water Relay

All teams accomplished the 5 challenges within the 35-minute mark, besting each other in the rankings by mere seconds. Yes, we’re all that competitive!

The winning team with the best time was the Yellow Team, led by CEO Itamar Gero, and they were awarded with the 8,000-peso grand prize. The Green Team took the second prize of 4,000 pesos, the Red Team came in third and got the 2,000-peso prize, while the Blue Team got the fourth prize of 1,000 pesos.

POST-TEAM BUILDING ACTIVITIES

After the competitive team building activities, everyone had the rest of the afternoon to themselves. Everybody spent their free time either swimming, paddle boating or kayaking. Others made the most of the resort’s facilities, including the billiard table and the basketball and volleyball courts. Some just chose to relax in the fabulous infinity pool.

Later that evening, everyone was treated to a sumptuous dinner, followed by a bonfire and a special dance performance by Marvin and Joana — with the surprise participation of TrueLogic’s CEO, Itamar Gero and General Manager, Bernard San Juan. Everyone then partied the night away, drink in hand, while DJ Arthur spun some great tunes!

DAY 2

THE BALL GAMES

The next day, two teams competed in the mixed volleyball game, while two other teams competed in a game of basketball. The team of Mica, Anton, Gary, Ciara, Sam, Edwin, Ella, and Joana won the volleyball game, while the team of Ton, Reed, EJ, Will, Rex, Rob, Eric, and Anton won the basketball match.

This year’s company summer outing ended with everyone enjoying the island resort all to themselves, swimming and mingling with employees from other departments.

People working the day shift met those working in the night shift, and those who don’t usually hang out with staff from other teams shared meals. Those who initially didn’t know each others’ names shared stories.

Thanks to the challenges and team building activities, as well as to the hands behind the successful event – Lydia, the HR team, and the folks at Olympic Point Island Resort – #SweatEatOut2015 didn’t just build a team; it created a family.

Here’s looking forward to #SweatEatOut2016!

There were no shortage of freebies, massage sessions, and happy faces at Penthouse 2, JAKA building last April 30, as the TrueLogic family celebrated A Day of Health & Wellness—an event filled with health booths, fitness demos, and nutrition seminars.

HEALTH AND WELLNESS FAIR

TrueLogic collaborated with some of the most well known names in the fields of health, fitness, safety, and nutrition for a health and wellness fair. From 10 in the morning to 5 in the afternoon, employees from the Content, Admin, Finance, IT, and Ops Department flooded the hallway as they visited booths from Maxicare, Fitness First, Gold’s Gym, Urban Ashram Manila, Omron, and many more.

Some TL employees approached the TheraCare booth with aching backs and joints and walked away feeling more relieved than ever, thanks to the free trial with TheraCare’s hot and cold packs. Beside their table is the White Flower booth, where we found a range of therapeutic products, including massage oils, pain reliever creams, and electro thermal water bags–just perfect for some of us who experience everyday body pains.

Everybody lined up for free high fiber wheat bread at the Gardenia booth. We also enjoyed huge discounts on some of their products, including their White Bread, Slim N Fit Wheaten Bread, and Black Forest Loaf.

TrueLogic employees also lined up for a one on one consultation with a healthcare professional at the Omron booth. Using an Omron automatic BP monitor, many took the opportunity to have their blood pressure and glucose levels checked for free.

Whether it’s massage oil, sunscreen, underarm whitening cream, argan oil, or air revitalizer, Simply Nature Organics had all the health, beauty, and personal care products we need. We were even given the option to purchase the products through salary deduction. (Yes–no need to go downstairs and queue up at the ATM machine!)

Good vision is a precious gift—and a daily necessity for all, especially for us TrueLogic employees. At the health fair, two-eyed and (soon-to-be) four-eyed peeps alike enjoyed the free eye checkup and free multi-coated lens provided by Four Eyes.

Fitness First and Gold’s Gym provided employees with a free nutrition assessment and a free BMI and body fat checkup. Some of us who went below or beyond the healthy BMI range signed up for gym memberships as well.

FREE MASSAGE SERVICE

Massage therapists, courtesy of White Flower, also went around to give us free massage service. The stiffness, headaches, and stress dissolved as we all melted into a state of relaxation with the skillful hands of the masseuses.

To add to the wonderful spa-like experience, some of us also indulged in an ear candling session.

Townhall + Nutrition Talk + Yoga and Body Combat Demo

We had our usual weekly town hall an hour earlier than usual—because this time it was even more special. We received a handful of positive feedback from clients and fellow TrueLogic employees. We also sang “Happy Birthday” to the April celebrants—including our content manager, MJ Navida, and our general manager, Bernard San Juan.

The session was followed by a nutrition talk by Gold’s Gym’s very own Christina Marasigan. We learned that the easiest way to cut down on calories is to cut down on fried food and fast food, that the sweets we consume should only be about six spoons per day, and many many more.

Right after the talk, everyone participated in a relaxing yoga demo by Urban Ashram, followed by a heart-racing body combat demo by Fitness First.

And, of course, we ended the day the best way possible—by enjoying a delicious buffet dinner.

At our company, working hard and being healthy aren’t mutually exclusive. From health and wellness programs to the occasional happy hours, TrueLogic is committed to helping employees stay happy–and healthy.

If you haven’t heard the news, the Philippines recently saw one of its most ambitious search marketing conferences yet. PeepCon was a non-profit event for a cause, and it aimed to bring together some of the best minds from various backgrounds in one value-packed seminar. Seeing as how The Heritage Hotel’s ballroom was practically overflowing with attendees, it was a major hit – and TrueLogic helped make it happen.

PeepCon was an excellent opportunity for people to learn, network, and help out a friend in the industry. All profits went towards a fellow SEO specialist  who is fighting against cancer, showing that the search community can band together when it counts.

THE FIVE SESSIONS: AN OVERVIEW OF SEARCH

The conference was divided into five sessions, each with a moderator and three speakers. These 90 minute panels had a Q&A portion at the end, so guests could ask about anything still weighing on their minds.

1. On-site SEO – Ranking starts with having a well-optimized website, so it is fitting that this is where the conference began. The session covered both fundamentals and advanced strategies for on-site SEO: addressing common problems, HTTPS migration, and Schema.org integration.

2. Content marketing – Good content is the foundation of digital marketing, and it is essential for building a website that performs well. Speakers talked about writing content that helps drive conversions, and how to use social media to promote your content effectively.

3. Digital entrepreneurship – Where do you draw the line between freelancer and business owner? And why is the distinction so important? Digital marketers need to have a well-defined strategy career strategy, and these presentations on the topic were both inspiring and informative.

4. Link building – Acquiring links takes far more effort and caution these days, thanks to Google’s increasingly stringent standards. The discussion covered ethical link building strategies, visual alternatives like infographics, and the importance of qualifying links.

5. Data driven SEO – The numbers never lie, and data gathering goes hand-in-hand with SEO. Presenters stressed the crucial role of analytics in the industry, and how realistic goal setting can help marketers direct their campaigns better.

Did you miss the event, or need a refresher? Glen Dimaandal is uploading the presentation decks, so you can check them out here.  While they can’t compare to hearing the speakers in person, these notes are still chock-full of valuable information.

PeepCon was an excellent opportunity for people to learn, network, and help out a friend in the industry. All profits went towards a fellow SEO specialist  who is fighting against cancer, showing that the search community can band together when it counts.

TrueLogic also had the opportunity to introduce its latest innovation at the event. Many PeepCon attendees signed up for three free months of SiteoScope access – the perfect tool for putting what they learned into practice.

PeepCon 2015 was a huge success, and it will set the standard for digital marketing conferences to come. There is no need to wait until the next one for professional insights, though; if you need help with refining your search strategy, just contact TrueLogic, and let us help.

Christmas parties have always been something TrueLogic does right, and this year is no different.

With the holidays being just a few days away, the whole company came together on Thursday night to celebrate not just Christmas, but another important milestone: the 5th Anniversary of TrueLogic.

Dubbed “The TrueLogic High Five Festival,” the event served as an opportunity to look back at five years of TrueLogic and celebrate Christmas at the same time. In line with the theme of five years, our amazing People Department shook things up a bit by assigning each department a different theme.

This year we celebrated our Christmas with a bit of class; the Content Department came in dressed to the nines in their Blue Masquerade theme, complemented by Production Department in their Silver Masquerade theme. Together, the two teams represented the colors of our company. Elegance aside, the party also introduced a bit of rock and roll; the Web Development Team came in dressed as music icons, and People Support and Admin came dressed as some of the most recognizable movie icons of our time. Rounding out the festival were some seriously amazing getups by folks from the Sales and Accounts team, who were assigned with the coolest theme of all: cosplay.

The TrueLogic High Five Festival was held at the Society Lounge along Makati Avenue. HR Manager Armund and Clayton got things started with their opening remarks before a sumptuous feast (fit for a classic fiesta) was served.

After the meal, the program started off with “Town Hall with a Twist” hosted by Anj, Carla, and Matt. The three relayed positive feedback and holiday wishes by some of our happiest clients. After the three were done, we moved on to the first game of the night: The TrueLogic Singing Bee. Hosted by Carlo, Gary, Eddie, Will, CJ—TrueLogic’s very own boy band—the game saw random members of our little family filling in the missing lyrics as our very own Song Bees Jem and Jill sang, accompanied by Jayvee and Xaikhie on guitars.

Following more than ten rounds of the Singing Bee, Arnel and Vincent hosted a segment awarding the winners of TrueLogic’s very first People’s Choice Awards. The winners are as follows:

  • TrueLogic Megaphone – Samantha Enriquez
  • TrueLogic Human Vulture – Jay Pagkatotohan
  • TrueLogic Pitbull – Clayton Wood
  • Ms. Brightside – Angela Salta
  • TrueLogic’s Next Superstars – Elzer Ramos, Jilliane Pacquing, Edwin Nacino, MC Rogado, and Lydia Rodillo
  • TrueLogic Sweetheart – Itamar Gero
  • The Face of TrueLogic – Angela Salta
  • Loveteam of the Year – Clayton and MJ; CLAY-J
  • TrueLogic Alien of the Year – Matt Wooldridge
  • Following the awards show, MJ, Gaia, and Zhai hosted TrueLogic’s Next Top Model, which saw Jill, Vincent, and our very own CEO, Itamar, as the top finalists. After a little gag by MJ proclaiming herself as the winner, Vincent Trinidad of the Content Team was declared as TrueLogic’s Next Top Model.

As a wrap up to the festivities, Sam and Edwin hosted TrueLogic’s Minute to Win It, which saw folks from different departments win cash prizes after taking part in some difficult games. Following the games, Sam and Edwin, with the help of various members of management, got started with the most anticipated event of the evening: the raffle.

Prizes given away that night included over 20k in cash prizes and gift certificates, free memberships at Urban Ashram Yoga, some pretty sick Urban Ears headphones, a Sony wireless music player, a microwave oven, and not just one, but two 32-inch Samsung TVs.

The program ended with the awarding of winners of TrueLogic’s very first Innovator Awards. This program was introduced by management in an effort to get team members to contribute to making TrueLogic the company of choice no just for employees, but most importantly, the thousands of clients we service across the globe. As Itamar mentioned, innovation really helps the company improve processes and allows us to work more efficiently and hit our goals. All it takes is an idea to solve or improve a problem and pushing for it BECAUSE you believe in it.

Ideas of all sorts were pitched over the course of 2014, but only one could be proclaimed winner. Besting almost over a hundred entries from January 2014 up until this month, Rex Eugenio came out on top and won an all-expense paid trip to Hong Kong.

After all was said and done, our CEO Itamar took to the stage to look back on the year that was and to send a message to the TrueLogic family. With a message that centered on continuing to be the best that we can all be, TrueLogic’s sweetheart encouraged everyone to sit back and enjoy the rest of the evening—the bar was finally open and drinks flowed all around.

With music thumping and everyone in a jovial mood, the TrueLogic High Five Festival was truly another party for the books. Check out the gallery below to see some of TrueLogic’s best in action.

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays, from the TrueLogic Family to yours!
